Backlink Tracker is a 100% local browser extension for off-site SEO specialists to detect, save and monitor client backlinks across the web. No accounts, no servers — every link is stored in your browser and every check uses your own network. WHAT IT DOES • Live badge count — the toolbar icon shows how many of your clients are linked on the page you're viewing. • Popup details — see each linked client with its anchor text and anchor URL, plus one-tap copy buttons. • Keep Track Of This Link — save the current page's client links for ongoing monitoring. • Add This Site As A Client — turn the current domain into a client straight from the popup; duplicates are detected automatically. • Domain cross-check — see how many of your clients are already linked on the current domain, and which ones aren't yet (great for spotting outreach opportunities). • Domains page — a deduplicated list of every domain you've saved a link on, showing linked vs not-linked clients. Click any domain for its full history. • Client detail pages — every client opens its own page with their saved links, stats and full activity history. • Single source of truth — renaming a client updates that name everywhere; deleting a client removes all of their saved links. • Bulk import backlinks — paste or import a .txt/.csv of article URLs; each page is crawled, matched to the right client and filed by month and year automatically. • Bulk import clients — paste a list as "Name, url" (or CSV / tab / pipe separated), or just URLs; each is crawled for a sensible name and de-duplicated. • Share your client list — copy to clipboard or download a CSV from the Clients page. • Saved Links dashboard — a spreadsheet-style manager that groups links into collapsible boxes. Switch By Month or By Client and combine filters for fast per-client reporting. • Per-link & per-group rechecking — refresh a single link or a whole month/client to update each link's status (Live / Removed / Error) and last-checked date. • Smart deep-check fallback — if a direct fetch is blocked or the page builds links with JavaScript, the recheck re-verifies in a hidden background tab before reporting an Error. • Link change history — each link keeps a timestamped log of every status, anchor-text and anchor-URL change. • Archive / pause clients — set a client aside without deleting their saved links. • Automatic scheduled checks — opt into weekly / monthly / quarterly / yearly re-verification. Checks run in the background and a desktop notification summarises any status changes. • Dark mode — a full dark theme across every page, remembered between sessions. • Single-page-app feel — internal navigation stays in the same tab with a consistent top nav; only actual backlinks open in a new tab. • Link-type color coding — Do-follow (green), No-follow (red), Sponsored (purple).
