Overview

A browser extension that allows users to assign and manage custom nicknames for their Azure resources in the Azure Portal.

Azure Resource Nicknames lets you add friendly, human-readable nicknames to Azure resources directly inside the Azure Portal. Azure resource names are often long, technical, or constrained by naming rules. This extension overlays your own nicknames on top of the portal UI, making it easier to scan lists, recognise resources, and understand environments at a glance without changing anything in Azure itself. What it does: - Add nicknames to resources on their resource pages - See nicknames inline in resource lists and blades - Edit nicknames directly in the portal UI - View and manage all nicknames from the extension popup - Instantly enable or disable nicknames at any time What it doesn’t do: - It does not modify Azure resources - It does not change resource names in Azure - It does not send data anywhere All nicknames are stored locally in your browser and never leave your device.
