Overview

Monitors your builds, pipelines and deployments in Azure DevOps and sends notifications on completion

Azure DevOps Monitor is a handy Google Chrome extension that helps you stay up-to-date with the status of your builds, pipelines, and classic deployments in Azure DevOps. You no longer need to keep a tab open or constantly refresh the page to see if your build has finished — the extension does all the routine monitoring for you! šŸš€ Key Features: • Automatic Tracking: The extension automatically detects and tracks active builds and deployments that were initiated by you. • Instant Notifications: As soon as a pipeline or release finishes (succeeds, fails, or is canceled), you instantly receive a native Chrome system notification. No more missed build failures! • Smart Visual Indicators: Notifications come with dynamically generated icons — a clear green checkmark for success and a red cross for failure — making the status readable in a split second. • Classic Releases Support: Monitors not only YAML build pipelines but also Classic Release environment deployments. • Informative Popup Interface: Open the extension with a single click to see your current connection status, the number of active tracked tasks, and the timestamp of the last sync. • Background Polling: Monitoring works silently in the background, checking the status every 15–30 seconds. You can also force an immediate sync using the "Poll Now" button. šŸ”’ Security & Privacy: • Minimal Permissions: The extension works securely using a Personal Access Token (PAT) that only requires Read-Only scopes (Build (Read) and Release (Read)). • Local Storage: Your token, profile data, and tracking history are strictly isolated and stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local). • Direct Connection: The extension sends requests directly to the official Azure DevOps API. No third-party servers or telemetry are involved. šŸ›  How to Get Started: Generate a Personal Access Token (PAT) in your Azure DevOps profile settings (make sure to select the Build (Read) and Release (Read) scopes). Open the Azure DevOps Monitor extension in your browser and paste the token to connect. You're all set! Run your builds and deployments as usual — the extension will automatically pick them up and notify you when they complete. The perfect tool for developers, DevOps engineers, and QA specialists who want to optimize their workflow and save time!
