Overview
A local Vietnamese input method editor (IME) for Chrome with Telex, VNI, VIQR and VIQR* methods and popup settings.
A Vietnamese input method editor (IME) extension for Google Chrome (Manifest V3). It supports the Telex, VNI, VIQR and VIQR* input methods, selectable from the popup, with an optional spell check and old-accent handling. Features: - Works on all HTTP(S) pages and inside iframes - Per-method configuration saved to local storage - Quick demo box in the popup to test the engine before typing - No account, no network requests, no data collection — everything is processed locally in your browser Usage: install, refresh your open pages, then type as usual. Click the AVIM icon to change input method. Credits: This is a modified, independently maintained fork of the AVIM - Vietnamese Input Method extension by Nguyen Kim Kha, based on the AVIM engine by Hieu Tran Dang. The original extension is open source (GPLv3) — upstream repository: https://github.com/kimkha/avim-chrome The upstream authors do not maintain and do not endorse this release. Source code of this fork: https://github.com/viethoangcr/avim-chrome Limitations: does not work on the address bar, Chrome Web Store, or chrome:// pages (browser restrictions).
