Just go into chrome://flags and enable "Middle button autoscroll". Much easier and is preferable to needing an extension.

Works pretty well but far from perfect. The options to work when you want to start the scroll from hyperlinks etc. does not work. However, I was glad to read a comment in a review here that mentions to start your chromium with these flags "--enable-blink-features=MiddleClickAutoscroll --test-type" So, for me, my Vivaldi browser now starts with this shortcut: "/usr/bin/vivaldi-stable %U --enable-blink-features=MiddleClickAutoscroll --test-type" and it seems to work fine, somewhat better tha... hi, your excellent chrome extension AutoScroll is still on manifest v2 which google has seemed to add to a sort of chopping block. can you please update it to manifest v3 to save it?Ā  thank you if it helps, you could add a tip jar/donation or payment function. if not that, then can you open source it and release it to github? thank you. if the developer doesn't do this, can developers who code make a clone of this app? feel free to reward yourself with tip jar/donations/payment functi... To everyone looking for an alternative under Linux in light of the v2 phaseout, just add "--enable-blink-features=MiddleClickAutoscroll --test-type" to the Exec part in the desktop file (e. g. /usr/share/applications/google-chrome.desktop).
