AutoRemoveElement
Overview
Remove elements matching CSS selectors as soon as they appear on the page.
Chrome extension that removes elements matching CSS selectors on the active tab — immediately and as new nodes appear. ## Usage 1. Open the page where you want to block elements. 2. Click the AutoRemoveElement toolbar icon. 3. Add **CSS selectors** (one per line): - Type them manually, or - Use **Pick** next to the selector field: hover elements on the page (red outline), click one to append its generated selector. Press **Esc** or **Cancel** on the page to exit without picking. Pick mode is disabled while tracking is active. - Alternatively, use DevTools (**Copy** → **Copy selector**) and paste each selector on its own line. 4. Choose removal mode: - **Instant (MutationObserver)** — default; removes nodes as soon as they are added to the DOM - **Polling** — scans the page on a fixed interval (ms); set the poll interval when this mode is selected 5. Optionally enable **Show blocked count on toolbar icon** (badge while tracking). 6. Click **Start**. 7. Click **Stop** when you want to end tracking (removed nodes are not restored). **Saved configurations:** The popup auto-saves a draft per hostname as you edit. Use **Recent configurations** to load a previous setup from any site. **Clear saved configurations** removes all drafts and recent entries. Active tracking is **per tab in memory** — reloading or navigating away stops removal until you start again (drafts in storage are unchanged).
