AutoRefreshPage is a private, flexible auto refresh and page monitor extension for Chrome. Automatically reload the current page, multiple selected tabs, every tab from the same website, or all tabs in a window—then receive local alerts when something important changes. Whether you are waiting for an appointment, product restock, price drop, ticket availability, new job listing, dashboard update, auction result, or status change, AutoRefreshPage keeps checking the page so you do not have to press refresh repeatedly. You can receive an alert when: • Selected text changes • A word or phrase appears or disappears • A number increases or decreases • A value becomes greater or lower than a threshold • A price drops below your target • An element appears or is removed • The number of matching items changes • A custom text pattern is matched AutoRefreshPage establishes the first detected value as a baseline, compares future results against it, and shows what changed. REDUCE UNWANTED ALERTS Dynamic websites often change timestamps, counters, formatting, advertisements, or other irrelevant content. AutoRefreshPage includes controls that help reduce false notifications: • Ignore whitespace differences • Ignore uppercase and lowercase differences • Ignore selected text patterns • Require a change to remain present across multiple checks • Apply an alert cooldown • Prevent duplicate alerts until the condition clears • Recover selected elements when a website slightly changes its layout LOCAL NOTIFICATIONS When your condition is matched, AutoRefreshPage can: • Show a Chrome desktop notification • Display a visual alert inside the page • Highlight the changed element • Scroll directly to the changed content • Focus the monitored tab • Play a local alert sound • Pause or stop refreshing automatically • Continue monitoring for additional changes PROTECT YOUR WORK Automatic refreshing should never interrupt something important. PRIVATE BY DESIGN AutoRefreshPage works locally inside your browser. • No account required • No backend service • No analytics or tracking • No advertisements • No page content uploaded • No external API calls • No remotely loaded code • No selling or sharing of browsing data The extension requests access only when a feature needs to read or interact with a website. Basic tab refreshing does not require access to page content. All refresh settings, selected values, and change history remain stored locally on your device and can be deleted at any time. IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS Monitoring works only while Chrome and the monitored tab remain available. AutoRefreshPage cannot monitor websites while your computer is turned off. Chrome may delay very short timers when tabs are inactive, the computer is sleeping, or browser power-saving features are active. Fast refresh intervals are therefore best effort. Chrome also prevents extensions from operating on protected pages such as chrome:// pages, Chrome settings, and the Chrome Web Store. Stop pressing refresh.
