"This extension is no longer available because it doesn't follow best practices for Chrome extensions." What? It followed "best practices" until now and it's a simple extension that used to be by default on Youtube! Horrible user experience from Google/Youtube! Blocking good and efficient QOL extensions! They even removed the Manifest V2 settings from chrome://flags/ so users can't revert the block!

PLEASE fix this plugin so it works again! Auto play must be stopped!!!

FIX THE ADDON. CHROME IS ABSOLUTE DOGSHIT WITHOUT AUTOPLAY STOPPER. I AM DOWNLOADING ALL YOUTUBE VIDEOS,REFUSING TO USE YOUTUBE.COM, SO LONG AS THEY CONTINUE TO FORCE AUTOPLAY WHEN WE DON'T WANT IT!!!! <3

Why Google stopped this ad on? I always opens many tabs, so everytime I start PC, many videos automatically start. its so annoying.

This was a great extension. I'm really disappointed that as of today (Mar. 3, 2025) chrome alerted me that the extension is no longer supported.

Doesn't work on all sites. For example, doesn't work on MSN. Unfortunately it is about the only autoplay blocker available. Wish someone would develop a more effective blocker. I cannot stand autoplay!

Hasn't been updated since September 10, 2023. No longer works on Twitch.

Very fast

AutoplayStopper has worked very well. This doesn't block all ads (e.g., when watching YouTube, ads still show up), so it's not like cheating (trying to avoid ads when actively using a service funded by revenue from ads sent to me). One side effect is that I may need to click on a video before videos on a site will work. and do this once per tab.
