When you come back, PiP closes on its own — no manual interaction needed. ✨ Features Auto PiP – Instantly enters PiP mode when you switch away from YouTube, as long as conditions are met. Auto Exit – Detects when you return to YouTube and closes PiP automatically. Smart Interaction Gate – When browser policies require a user gesture, a subtle prompt appears on YouTube so PiP can activate correctly. Speed Control – Set your playback speed directly from the popup (0.5x to 2.5x). Remember Speed – Your preferred speed is saved and restored automatically on your next videos. ⚙️ How it works You're watching a video on YouTube. You switch to another tab — AutoPiP kicks in and starts PiP automatically. You come back to YouTube — PiP closes and everything resets for the next cycle. 🔐 Privacy AutoPiP only requests the permissions it strictly needs: tab detection, local storage for your settings, and scripting to check video state on YouTube. No data is collected or sent anywhere. ⚠️ Known Limitations PiP activation is restricted by browser user-gesture policies (basically a click, keypress or any other interaction with the website). If no valid interaction happened on YouTube yet, the extension shows an interaction gate; confirming it provides the required gesture so PiP can start.
