Overview

Auto-fills form fields from JSON.

AutoFiller fills webpage forms based on mappings to JSON data. Step 1: Create mappings of json to form fields. E.g. address.zip -> input[name="zip_field"]. This means, fill the field named zip_field with the value within { address: { zip: 12345}} Step 2: Open web page. Paste your JSON in popup. Click "Fill Form" v2.2: again, predominantly UX changes • Auto-Collapse JSON payload textarea to make sidepanel compact; automatically collapses when clicking Fill Form or any mapping row. • Export Timestamps for users to know when the profile was last exported. Show it in profile options. • Version shown in sidepanel footer. Again, for users to easily verify extension version that is currently installed. • Header Title: Match title with Extension title "AutoFiller by Utilery" for consistency. v2.1: predominantly UX changes * allow drag and drop of field mappings in options page to change order * choose which columns to show in side panel or popup * as fields are being filled, show an icon next to the corresponding item in side panel * cancel button to cancel filling * error information if a selector was not found when attempting to fill * experimental: option to trigger focus/blur during on field that is being filled v2.0 • Popup or Sidepanel View: User can choose to have a side panel or a popup. Popup disappears on losing focus. Side panel is more persistent. With sidepanel, users also get more height on bigger screens to see more data at a time. Remember that you can click a mapping to enter only that field. • Options Page Toggle: Added a "Side Panel Filler" checkbox. Checked by default as I found the side panel much more convenient. • Responsive Visual Modes: sizing changes in popup and sidepanel mode to be best fit. • Minor improvements on JSON payload. Default is now "" instead of "{}". And hanges made to json payload are stored automatically to local storage on losing focus. v1.3.0 * Mostly UI changes in the popup to give main content a little more space. * Showing version number in options page. * Allow filtering of fields in the popup to easily fill in a specific field. * Replace text labels in the popup with icons to make UI more compact and seem less busy. * Autohide messages, again to give more space to main content. * v1.3.1 fixed a security suggestion v1.2.0 * Updated name to "AutoFiller by Utilery" to distinguish it from multiple other extensions with the same name * Added an option for the user to choose a time that the json payload remains in local storage. It can be set to 0 if it should not be saved local storage. * Updated logo * Other improvements in options page - more conversions and checks v1.1.0: • Options Page & Editor Enhancements: Improved the options page with live syntax validation for CSS selectors and mapping fields, a real-time search filter, a Reset button, and UI refinements including replacing the "Add Profile" button with a "New Profile" sidebar link. • Pipeline & Popup Improvements: Added support for a pause(ms) command to handle asynchronous form-filling delays, added a toggle transition for the popup's JSON payload.
