Autofill Assistant uses Claude AI to automatically fill out web forms on your behalf, based on a resume you upload once. Apply to jobs faster, complete tedious application questions in one click, and stop retyping the same information across dozens of sites. ✨ FEATURES ─ • Upload PDF, DOCX, TXT, or image resumes — AI extracts a structured profile (name, contact, education, experience, skills, projects, and more) • Multiple profiles for different application targets (e.g. US tech, China design, academic) • One-click fill on any web page, including iframe-based forms used by Workday, SmartRecruiters, iCIMS, Greenhouse, Lever, etc. • Smart defaults for routine HR questions: "Are you 18 or older?", visa sponsorship, conflict-of-interest, willingness to relocate, "How did you hear about us?", and many others • Sensible handling of voluntary self-identification fields (race / gender / veteran status / disability) — uses your stored info or defaults to "Decline to answer" • Multi-select checkbox groups (ethnicity, languages, etc.) handled correctly with question context • Custom radio / checkbox / select widgets supported (ARIA role="radio", hidden native inputs styled by CSS) • "Update Profile from this page" — folds your manual edits back into the stored profile so future fills get more accurate • Per-field confidence and reasoning shown in a floating toast at the bottom-right; full undo with one click • Bilingual UI: English + 中文 (Chinese), user-switchable in Settings 🔒 PRIVACY (BYOK) ─ • Bring your own Anthropic API key — get $5 free credit at console.anthropic.com on signup, which covers many fills • Your profile data and API key live ONLY in your local browser (chrome.storage.local). Install the extension and open it from the toolbar 2. Click "Open Settings" → paste your Anthropic API key (get one at console.anthropic.com — first $5 is free) 3. Click "+ New Profile" and upload your resume (PDF / DOCX / image — all supported) 4. Click "Reparse" — Claude structures your resume into a profile 5. On any form page, click the toolbar icon → pick a profile → "Fill Current Page" 6. A floating toast at the bottom-right shows what was filled with per-field confidence. Review, manually edit anything wrong, then click "Update Profile from this page" to teach the assistant for next time. 🛠 WHY THE PERMISSIONS • Storage: save your profile, API key, and language preference locally • Active Tab: when you click the icon, read and fill the page you have open • Scripting: inject the form-detection and form-filling code into the active page • Web Navigation: enumerate all frames in the active tab so we can scan iframe-based forms (used by most modern HR systems) We do not run on pages you did not explicitly invoke. We do not access your browsing history. NOTE: This tool is for personal productivity. Always review filled values before submitting any form. The tool does not bypass CAPTCHAs and does not upload resume attachments — those steps remain manual.
