Overview

Automatically opens Google Sheets, Docs and Slides at the zoom level you set for each file and each sheet.

Tired of resetting the zoom every time you open a file? Let it set itself. Auto Zoom opens Google Sheets, Google Docs and Google Slides at the zoom level you chose for each file and each sheet. Set it once, and from then on you don't have to touch a thing. Just open the file and it's already at a comfortable size. ■ Features Saves a zoom level for each file "This report at 125%, that one at 90%." Pick a zoom level per file, and it switches automatically every time you open it. Separate zoom for each sheet (tab) In Google Sheets, you can set a different zoom level for each sheet. Keep a dense data-entry sheet at 100% and a summary sheet at 125%, for example. Works with Sheets, Docs and Slides Supports Google's three main tools. Choose any zoom level you like Type any whole number from 50% to 200% (for example, 110% or 133%). The levels in Google's own menu (50 / 75 / 90 / 100 / 125 / 150 / 200%) are one click away. Your last choice is already filled in, so setting up the next file takes no effort. Manage everything in one list View all saved settings on the settings page. - Shows file name, sheet name and the date you added it - Search by file name and sort the list - Edit the file name, sheet name and zoom right in the list - Delete settings you no longer need (and bring them back with "Undo") Export and import your settings Moving to a new computer? Export your settings to a file and import them on the other computer. A different zoom level on each computer Settings are saved only in Chrome on that computer. Perfect if you use a large monitor at your desk and a small laptop on the go, and want the best zoom level for each. Tells you when auto-apply fails If the zoom can't be changed, a warning appears in the extension's popup. Dark mode The look follows your operating system's setting automatically. Japanese and English The interface language follows your browser's display language. No ads, no sign-up, no data sent anywhere The extension asks only for the minimum permissions needed to save your settings and to check the tab you have open. It never reads the contents of your files. ■ Who it's for - People who find small text hard to read and zoom in every time they open a file - People who switch between a large monitor and a laptop, and need a different zoom level on each - People who work with many files, where the best size differs by file and by sheet - People who use Docs and Slides as much as Sheets ■ How to use 1. Install the extension. 2. Open Google Sheets, Docs or Slides, then click the extension icon in the toolbar. 3. Choose a zoom level, or type a number into the "Custom" box, then click "Auto-apply this zoom level". From the next time you open that file, the zoom level is applied automatically. To change it, click "Turn off auto-apply" first, then choose a level again. ■ FAQ Q. Can I use a zoom level that isn't in the menu, such as 110% or 133%? A. Yes. Type a whole number from 50 to 200 into the "Custom" box in the popup. Values outside that range (49 or less, 201 or more) and decimals can't be used. Q. Will the same zoom level apply on my other computers? A. Settings are saved per computer. To use the same settings elsewhere, use "Export settings" and "Import settings" on the settings page. Q. Does it work on view-only files? A. If the zoom control isn't shown on the screen (for example, on some view-only files), the zoom can't be applied automatically. Q. Where are my settings stored? A. Only inside Chrome on your computer. They are never sent to an external server. ■ Notes - If Google changes its page layout, the extension may stop working.
