Overview

Automatically stops Google Meet from merging your audio with nearby devices.

Stop Google Meet from merging your audio. Automatically. When you join a meeting near other people who are also in the call, Google Meet often merges your audio with their devices. That's handy in a meeting room, but frustrating when you want your own mic and speakers, for example in an open-plan office. Auto Unmerge for Google Meet undoes this for you. As soon as Meet shows "Your audio is merged with nearby devices", the extension clicks through Meet's own "Stop merging audio with nearby devices" option, so you never have to do it by hand. Features • Works automatically. Install it and forget about it. • Catches merges at any point in the call, not just when you join. • No settings, no popups, no account. • Only runs on meet.google.com. Privacy The extension collects no data and sends nothing anywhere. It only reads the Meet page to find the merge notice and clicks Meet's built-in unmerge option. Note: currently supports Google Meet in English. Auto Unmerge for Google Meet is an independent extension and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
