Overview

Auto-refresh any tab with a visible countdown and get an alert the moment the page text changes.

Auto-refresh any page on a timer, and Refresh Loop tells you the second the text changes. A countdown sits right on the page, so you can see it's still working. You're waiting on an order status, a grade, a decision, a reply that never comes. So you sit there pressing F5 every two minutes instead of going about your day. USE IT FOR · A grade that isn't posted yet · An order that hasn't moved since Tuesday, and the tracking page never says anything new · A decision you're waiting on: an application, an approval, a permit, a spot on a waitlist · An internal tool whose status only updates when you reload it · Anything that signs you out if you leave it alone HOW IT WORKS 1. Open the page and click the icon. 2. Pick one: tell you when anything on the page changes, tell you when the page says a word you choose, or just keep reloading. 3. Walk away. HOW YOU KNOW IT'S STILL RUNNING While it runs, you see the count: how many times it has checked, how long since the last check, how long it's been watching. The numbers move while you look at them. When something changes, you get a sound and an alert. On the paid version the alert shows you the words that changed, so you can see whether it's the thing you were waiting for without going back to look. Nothing goes off until the same result shows up twice in a row. Ads and pages that haven't finished loading won't set off a false alarm. WHAT IS FREE The countdown on the page, the timer, however often you want it to check, any number of pages, the sound and the alert when something changes, the second check that cuts down on false alarms, reloads that really go to the site instead of the browser's saved copy, and reloads spread out a little so several watched tabs don't all reload in the same second. All free, with no account. THE PAID PART $6.99 USD, one time. You'll see it in your own currency, plus any tax, at checkout. No subscription, no account. The paid version adds: · Watch for specific words, like "Approved" or "In stock", and jump straight to them · See which words changed: before and after, side by side, with the change marked · Watch one part of the page, a table, a row, a price, so nothing else counts · Keep watching even after you restart Chrome, so you stop setting it up every morning · Keep hearing about it until you click it. Chrome hides a notification after a few seconds; this one comes back, and the toolbar icon stays flagged · Keep watching past the first change, so you hear about the second one and the third · Bring the tab to the front the moment something changes WHAT IT DOES NOT DO Refresh Loop reloads pages and reads their text. It never clicks, types, fills out forms or solves captchas for you. If you need that, this is the wrong tool. Anything faster than one check every 30 seconds works only while the tab is on screen. Chrome slows down tabs you're not looking at. The popup says so when you ask it to check more often than that, so you find out before you rely on it. PERMISSIONS Chrome asks for no permissions when you install it. You give it access to a site when you start watching that site, and only so the countdown and the checks can run there. Refresh Loop compares the page text on your own computer. No account, no analytics, and the only thing that ever leaves your computer is your license key, sent to Polar to check it. WHO YOU BUY FROM You buy from Stonecrop, the makers, not from Google or from the Chrome Web Store. Payments are handled by Polar, who act as the seller of record and handle tax.
