Auto Open on Desktop for Box

Automatically opens Box files in your desktop apps instead of the web preview. Not affiliated with Box, Inc.

Tired of clicking "Open" every time you follow a Box file link? This extension does it for you. When you open a file at app.box.com, the extension clicks Box's own "Open" button so the file launches in your desktop application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat, or whatever Box Edit uses on your computer). This extension requires Box Tools to be installed. Also, in you account settings, you should change the "Default Integrated Applications" under the "Integration" tab to whatever you want the default opening behavior to be. Use "Box Edit (Desktop Apps)" or "Select default integrated application" to open directly on Desktop.
