Overview

Ask an Authnudge account holder to sign you in. The extension never shows the credentials.

Authnudge lets you ask an account holder to sign you in on the site you are looking at. They approve on their phone or computer. This extension decrypts the reply and fills the login form. It never shows, copies, or stores the username or password. Use it when you are on a shared or borrowed computer and the password should stay with the person who owns the account. How it works Open the extension once and copy your public key. The account holder saves that key on https://authnudge.com under Access → Public keys (for example, “Browser extension”). On a login page, click the extension, enter their email or handle, and choose Request sign-in. They get the request, confirm the site, and grant it from their password manager. This tab is filled and submitted when the form is obvious. You never see the credentials. The extension signs every request with a key created on this browser profile. That key is what the inbox shows as a name — not an anonymous ask. Anyone with this Chrome profile can export the keypair; pairing trusts this install, not an official binary. Authnudge does not display passwords, put them on the clipboard, or write them to disk. If the form cannot be used, you only see that a login form could not be found. You need an Authnudge account holder who has saved this extension’s public key. The service is at https://authnudge.com. Privacy The extension stores only this install’s keypair, your Authnudge URL, and an optional remembered handle. Login secrets are used once to fill the current tab, then discarded. The Authnudge server relays an encrypted envelope and never sees usernames or passwords. Support: https://authnudge.com
