Overview
Tell me how you feel. Comforting media — music, books, films, calm landscapes. All on your computer.
Auscultrix turns how you feel into a calm listening session — on your computer, with no proprietary cloud. Type or upload how you feel (text, chips, energy, and/or a photo). Mood analysis stays on-device. Playlists follow an ISO path (match first, then shift gently). Choose Emergente (Bandcamp∩YouTube discovery) or Conosciuta (curator Liked Songs — 9350 tracks, with verified publication zones: 5258 with country, 4092 world-only). Cascading zone menus (country → region → province → city) hard-filter the playlist; default is “from the world”. Listening is on YouTube. Vision is a gentle lofi overlay at 3 fps — YouTube only, never on Bandcamp. If a track is on Bandcamp, a calm PiP may offer the Bandcamp page link; otherwise no Bandcamp PiP. • HOW ARE YOU? → playlist from the music-therapy corpus + Emergente / Conosciuta catalogues • Play opens YouTube; auto-advance at end of track • Publication zone cascade + hard geo filter (empty place → calm empty playlist) • Your data: local numbers/labels only; one-click erase; no cookie reading • Choose for me: after mood input, starts music, a book, or a film • Beyond music: books (Open Library), films (3 free Wikiflix + 2 TMDB), series and podcasts — free-only or paid-OK • Text-to-speech for the analysis (local voices) • Calm presence guide · clinical disclaimer · Lexend UI (dyslexia-friendly) · IT/EN Privacy: preferences, session state, and optional mood photo live in chrome.storage.local. No Auscultrix backend. Spotify API hosts sync only the curator library — end users never log into Spotify through the extension. Not a medical device. If distress persists: IASP local help; EU 112; Italy Telefono Amico 02 2327 2327. Requirements: up-to-date Google Chrome. No personal Spotify login.
