Aurora for Canvas

A sleek, glassy redesign of Canvas: new dashboard, smart to-do list, dark mode, GPA and what-if grades, quick search, AI help.

Canvas works. It just isn't much fun to look at, and finding out what's actually due takes more clicking than it should. I'm a student and I made Aurora for myself because I wanted Canvas to feel cleaner and faster. It turned out well enough that I'm sharing it. WHAT YOU GET A better home page What's due today, what's due this week and anything missing sit right at the top. Your course cards can be dragged into any order, renamed and recoloured. One to-do list for everything All your classes in a single list. Check things off, add your own tasks, and flip between upcoming, missing and done. Dark mode that covers the whole site Canvas has bright patches that most dark themes leave behind. Aurora goes after those too. Grades and GPA See your GPA with honors and AP weighting, and test "what if I get a 92 on this" before the test happens. Grades stay blurred until you click to show them, which helps when someone is sitting next to you. Quick search Press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac) and start typing to jump to any course, assignment or page. Ask Claude A side panel for questions about the page you're on. Break an assignment into steps, get a reading explained, plan your week. You choose exactly what it can see (the page, your to-do list, your grades) and it is set up to help you understand the work, not do it for you. This part needs an invite code, your own Claude account, or your own API key. MAKE IT YOURS Accent colours, glass effects, rounder or sharper corners, fonts, compact mode, animations on or off. Nearly everything has a switch, and you can turn off any part you don't want. PRIVACY Your Canvas information stays in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you ask Claude a question, and then only the parts you switched on. No ads, no tracking, and your data is never sold.
