AuRo - audio output device router

)Overview
Per-tab audio mixer: route any tab to any output device, boost volume up to 400%, watch levels, and record tab audio.
AuRo turns every browser tab into a channel on a mixing console router. š ROUTE ā send each tab's audio to any output device: headphones for the meeting, speakers for music, a virtual cable for streaming. Per tab, independently, without touching system settings. š BOOST ā push volume up to 400% when a video is just too quiet. Works on HTML5 players and Web Audio apps alike, including embedded players. The boost multiplies the site's own volume instead of overriding it, so YouTube's loudness normalization and every in-page volume slider keep working. š BALANCE ā an L/R stereo balance fader with a center detent, right under the volume fader. One earbud day? Shift everything into it. š SEE ā a live output meter with clip detection shows exactly how loud the tab really is, in dBFS, right in the popup. šø CAPTURE ā some embeds refuse to follow a device switch and keep playing on the default speaker. Flip on Tab Capture and AuRo reroutes the tab's entire mix ā every player, every iframe ā to the device you chose. āŗ RECORD ā capture the tab's audio with one click. No screen-share dialogs, no extra tools: press Record, press Stop, get the file. ā” FROM THE FIRST SAMPLE ā the route is in place before the page makes a sound, so a saved tab never blurts its first second into the wrong speaker. š¾ REMEMBER ā save the output device as a rule for a URL pattern: all of youtube.com/*, or just one page. Edit the pattern, or delete the rule, right from the popup. AuRo re-applies it every time you come back. š SURVIVE ā unplugged your headphones? AuRo falls back to the default device so the audio keeps playing, and switches back when you replug. The device list refreshes while the popup is open, so a freshly plugged dongle is just there. Tips: right-click any control to reset it (fader to 100%, balance to center, device to default). Dark and light themes follow the system. Works in Chrome 116+ and Chromium browsers: Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi, Arc. AuRo asks for microphone permission once per site ā that is a Chrome requirement for choosing an output device (setSinkId); AuRo never listens to the microphone and stops the stream immediately after the grant.
