Your digital life, rewarded. Aura is an invite-only platform for the market research studies that shape products and policy. If you’ve been invited to a study, this extension is how you take part on desktop. How it works 1. Get invited. Aura is invite-only. You’ll receive a study invitation from our research team or a partner organisation. 2. Join on your terms. Every study tells you exactly what data it needs, for how long, and what you’ll earn. Nothing is shared until you say yes. 3. Browse as normal. Once you’ve joined, Aura works quietly in the background, capturing only what the study you joined requires. 4. Get rewarded. Earn for every study you take part in. Track your rewards in the Aura app. What Aura collects — only with your permission Depending on the study you join, Aura may capture: • The websites you visit and how long you spend on them • Your browsing history • Bookmarks (only if your study includes them) • Purchase and transaction details on selected shopping sites (only if your study includes them) What Aura never does • Aura never collects anything before you’ve joined a study and given permission • Aura never captures passwords, banking logins, or payment card numbers • Aura never sells your identity — research data is de-identified and reported in aggregate • Aura never runs without you knowing; you can pause or stop sharing at any time, and uninstalling ends collection immediately You’re in control Your data belongs to you. You choose which studies to join, you see exactly what each study collects, and you can leave at any time. That’s the whole idea: research done with you, not on you. About permissions Because Aura is a research platform, it requests broader browser permissions than most extensions — including access to browsing history and website data.
