Overview

Open articles in a calm reader mode. Save links to read later in Aura, your library for articles, PDFs and EPUB books.

Read an article now, or keep it for a quieter moment. Aura is a reader mode and read-later companion for Chrome. Open a public article, click the Aura icon, then choose Open clean reader or Save to Aura. Reading opens on auraread.me in a new tab. A calmer page On supported articles, Aura extracts the main text into a reading view without the surrounding ads, sidebars and navigation. Choose your font, adjust the text size, or switch between light, dark and warm themes. Use Zen mode when you want the controls out of the way. Save something worth finishing Sign in to Aura to save the current link to your personal library. Come back to it later instead of keeping another tab open. If you use projects, you can still choose one when saving. Keep a thought from your reading In the Aura web app, highlight a passage, add a note and return to your reading progress. Your library can also hold uploaded PDFs and EPUB books. File uploads and reading tools live in the web app, not inside the extension popup. How to use Aura 1. Install the extension and pin it to your Chrome toolbar. 2. Open a public article you want to read. 3. Click Aura and choose Open clean reader, or sign in to save the link. 4. Open your library whenever you have time to read. Accounts and plans You can try the article reader without an account. Saving links to your cloud library requires an Aura account. Aura offers a free plan with limits and an optional paid Pro subscription for additional features. See the current features and limits at https://auraread.me/pricing. What the extension accesses The extension uses the current tab's URL and title when you open it. When you save, it also reads the page's short description and sends that information to your Aura account. It contacts auraread.me to check your sign-in status, load optional projects and save the link. It does not request access to your browsing history. Aura opens the reader on auraread.me; it does not change every website in place. Some pages cannot be extracted. It does not guarantee access to paywalled, private or login-protected content. Saving a link is not a guarantee that the full article will remain available offline. Website: https://auraread.me
