AURA takes the chaos buried inside Canvas and turns it into something you can actually see: a calendar built around the way school works. Canvas can tell you that an assignment exists. That’s about it. It doesn’t necessarily show you what your entire week looks like, especially when one teacher puts homework in a Module, another hides it on a course page, and someone else uploads a six-week calendar as a PDF and expects you to keep track of everything yourself. AURA pulls those pieces together. Once you’re signed into Canvas, it automatically reads your enrolled courses and searches for assignments, quizzes, tests, and due dates. It digs through Modules, follows linked pages, reads homework buried inside tables, and even pulls dates from attached calendar PDFs. Then it puts everything onto one screen, organized by class and color-coded so you can see your day at a glance. WHAT AURA ACTUALLY DOES 1. Connects to Canvas automatically.No API token. No tedious setup. If you’re already signed into Canvas, AURA can work with it. 2. Finds the stuff you might otherwise miss.It checks Modules, linked course pages, tables, and attached six-week calendar PDFs instead of relying on assignments being entered in one convenient place. 3. Tracks tests and quizzes too. Major tests, minor quizzes, and other assessments listed on teacher calendars can all make their way onto your schedule. 4. Knows what you’ve already submitted. Work turned in through Canvas is automatically marked complete. 5. Catches overdue work. If something is past due and still unsubmitted, AURA flags it. 6. Lets you switch between week, day, and month views. The week begins on Monday, and every course gets its own color. 7. Includes a to-do list and focus timer. There’s also an optional floating widget you can keep visible while you work on other websites. 8. Lets you fix things yourself. Rename an assignment, change its date, add notes, or make other edits. Your changes stay until you choose to reset them. 9. Gets out of your way quickly. Press `Alt + Shift + A` on any webpage to open AURA, or use the toolbar icon. 10. If you later enable the floating widget or reminders, those permissions are requested separately—and only when you choose to turn those features on.
