AudioLink Stream Loudness Monitor

Internal QA tool: measures tab audio loudness (LUFS) and sample peaks (dBFS) for AudioLink live streams.

AudioLink Stream Loudness Monitor turns any browser tab into a loudness meter. Start it on the tab that plays your stream and read what the stream is actually delivering — loudness, peaks and channel health — while you keep working. WHAT IT MEASURES • Short-term LUFS (3 s window) — the headline reading, the one that matters on a live mix • Momentary LUFS (400 ms window) • Integrated LUFS (gated, BS.1770-style: absolute gate at −70 LUFS, relative gate at −10 LU) • Sample peak dBFS, current value plus a max-peak hold you can clear on its own • Channel mode and correlation: STEREO, MONO, OUT OF PHASE, LEFT ONLY, RIGHT ONLY, SILENT • Measurement duration • Delta between your DAW's integrated reading and the stream's BUILT FOR TROUBLESHOOTING A LIVE STREAM • A LOW / OK / HOT badge against a target you set (defaults to −10 LUFS) • A peak ladder resolved where it counts — −18 to 0 dBFS gets most of the travel, with fixed marks at −18, −10, −5, −1 and 0 • A channel banner that states the fault in plain language when L/R go wrong • Monitor Out: a post-meter fader and mute, so you can drop your own listening level without changing what the meter reads • Optional 30-second history graph • Copy: a plain-text session report for tickets and Slack • The measurement lives outside the popup, so it keeps running while the popup is closed — integrated LUFS needs minutes of continuous audio PRIVACY Audio is analysed inside your browser and is never recorded, uploaded or sent anywhere. The only data stored is the target LUFS, DAW reference and monitor level you set, kept in local extension storage on your own device. NOTES AND LIMITS • This is a QA and sanity-check tool, not a certified broadcast meter. Expect small offsets against reference plugin meters. • Sample peak only — no true peak (dBTP). Inter-sample peaks may read a few tenths of a dB low. • Give integrated LUFS 2–5 minutes before you trust it. • Keep the web player's own volume at 100%; lowering it scales the signal the meter sees. Use Monitor Out instead. • Capture is per-tab. Switching tabs does not move the measurement. • L/R only — surround streams are summed as stereo.
