Beep is a voice feedback and speech-to-text Chrome extension for Google Classroom, Google Docs, and Gmail. Record voice notes, audio comments, and spoken feedback directly inside Google Workspace without leaving the page. With Beep, you can create and listen to voice notes in Google Classroom, Google Docs, and Gmail as part of your normal workflow. Beep brings back one of the most important parts of in-person communication: clear, human, personal feedback. It is built for teachers, students, school administrators, and teams who want faster, friendlier communication in digital learning and online collaboration. ✨ What you can do with Beep • Record voice notes and audio comments directly in Google Classroom, Google Docs, and Gmail • Give faster, clearer voice feedback without scheduling meetings or typing long comments • Use built-in transcription and speech-to-text to make recordings easier to search, review, and understand • Create audio assignments, audio quizzes, and voice-based learning activities on Google Forms • Let students respond with voice to encourage participation and richer answers • Play audio feedback without opening a new tab or leaving the page • Automatically convert supported recording links into embedded audio players • Access full recording history to replay past recordings anytime • Set optional expiration dates to automatically delete recordings after a chosen time • Use smart context so Beep remembers which page, message, or document a recording came from • Restrict recordings to your organization or domain for more control 🤔 Why voice feedback? Voice feedback captures tone, encouragement, nuance, and clarity in ways typed comments often cannot. It makes communication feel more personal while saving time. Instead of writing long, carefully worded feedback, you can speak naturally and communicate more in less time. Beep is especially useful for remote learning, distance education, school communication, and collaborative work. It helps bridge the gap between digital tools and real human connection. ⚙️ How it works For Google Classroom 1. Install the Chrome extension. 2. Open Google Classroom. 3. This makes audio feedback more accessible and more useful for both the sender and the listener. 🎓 Great for Teachers and Educators Use voice instructions to create lessons faster, leave more personal feedback, build audio assignments and audio quizzes, and communicate more clearly with students, parents, and colleagues. Administrators Share updates with faculty, staff, and families in a more personal way and reduce misunderstandings with clear spoken communication. Students Voice notes help students express themselves more fully, especially when writing is slower, harder, or less natural. This can improve confidence, participation, and engagement. Language Teachers and Language Learners Create audio assignments, audio quizzes, pronunciation practice, and spoken feedback to make language learning more interactive, more personal, and easier to understand. Students with Accessibility Needs Voice notes help students who communicate more easily by speaking than typing, while speech-to-text transcription makes feedback easier to review and understand. Multilingual Learners / ESL-ELL Students Use voice feedback and transcription to support listening, speaking, comprehension, pronunciation, and confidence.
