)Overview
Sends currently audible Chrome or Brave tab titles to the Audio Finder app on this Mac.
Audio Finder Browser Connector adds optional Chrome and Brave tab titles to the Audio Finder macOS menu-bar app. When a browser tab is playing sound, the extension uses Chrome's audible-tab status and sends the tab title, tab and window identifiers, mute state, and selected browser identity to Audio Finder on the same Mac. This lets Audio Finder identify the noisy tab and focus it when selected. The connector does not read or send URLs, browsing history, page contents beyond the audible tab's title, incognito tabs, audio, microphone data, passwords, or form data. It communicates only with Audio Finder at 127.0.0.1:17654. Nothing is sent to Things or any third party. Audio Finder must be installed and running on the same Mac. On first install, the extension opens its options page with a prominent data-use disclosure. It remains disabled until the user explicitly opts in, and it can be disabled again at any time.
