Au3Meet records Google Meet audio in Chrome and saves Audio (.mp3) + Trancription (.md) to your computer What it does: - Records audio from your active Meet tab (plus your microphone when permitted) - Saves MP3 when encoding succeeds; falls back to WebM if not - Transcribes the recording and saves a .md transcript next to the audio in Downloads - Uses Chrome’s normal download flow (your Downloads folder or wherever Chrome saves files) How to use it - Join a meeting at meet.google.com - Click the Au3Meet icon in the toolbar (allow capture/mic prompts if asked) - Stop via the in-page STOP button or the extension icon (red badge while recording) - Wait for processing — Au3Meet downloads the audio file and transcript when ready Privacy - No eavesdropping: Au3Meet only records when you explicitly start it and stops when you stop. It does not listen in the background. - Local-first: Encoded audio is saved on your machine via Chrome’s downloads API. - Transcription pipeline: To generate the transcript, the MP3 is sent once to our speech-to-text service. The server processes the file for transcription and then deletes it — we do not keep your audio for monitoring or other use. Au3Meet is not affiliated with Google or Google Meet.
