Spend less time deciding what deserves your attention. Attention is a browser extension that helps you decide whether to read, skim, save or skip an article. Set your current goal and available time, then open an article's Attention card for a recommendation and a short explanation. • See the recommendation, reason and reading time together. • Change your goal or time budget on the card and get an updated assessment without reloading the page. • Read now, skim, save for later or skip; keep saved articles in the extension. • Give optional feedback to help future recommendations reflect your preferences. • Use the keyboard, choose from nine interface languages, and follow your system's light or dark theme. Create a local vault password, then start with local evaluation — no Attention account or API key is required. You can optionally add personal context, import your own Obsidian notes or Readwise highlights, or allow a browser-history import to help estimate what you may already know. These imports are optional. A connected Readwise account also lets you save selected passages. For an optional AI assessment, connect your own Vercel AI Gateway key, turn off Local only, and choose Check with AI on the card. Provider charges may apply. This sends article text and selected context, including selected knowledge and derived history signals, to the gateway and model provider. Optional AI profile creation sends the answers you enter for that purpose. AI requests require your action. Attention encrypts its stored profile, goals, history-derived data, saved materials, feedback, note indexes and integration credentials on your device. Your password unlocks a random encryption key; the password is not saved. Closing the browser or choosing Lock requires unlocking again. A forgotten password cannot be recovered: resetting deletes the local vault. There is no developer analytics feed. Page access lets Attention read accessible article content and show its cards on websites; you can limit site access in Chrome's extension settings. Assessments can be wrong: they estimate relevance and reading value and do not verify that an article's claims are true. Protected pages, PDFs and some websites are not supported.
