Attention Pause

)Overview
Pauses video when you look away from the screen. Runs entirely on your own machine.
Attention Pause checks if you are looking at the screen. If you look away, it pauses the video, and when you look back, it starts playing again. You do not have to keep rewinding because you turned around to talk to someone. It is great for watching lectures, tutorials, or long videos while you are cooking or working on a project. It also stops autoplay from running half a dozen episodes while you take a nap. PRIVACY Everything happens right on your device. The app looks at each frame and throws it away instantly. Nothing gets recorded, saved, or uploaded, and the extension does not make any network requests. It only checks the angle of your head, and the face detection software is built right into the app. HOW IT WORKS Instead of tracking your eyes, which can be finicky, it tracks your head direction. That means no setup or calibration, and it works fine in regular lighting. There is a small delay of about 1.5 seconds before it pauses so it does not stutter if you just blink or glance away for a second. You just need a webcam, and right now it works on YouTube. DEFAULTS It starts turned off. If your camera is broken, you block permissions, or the room is too dark, the video just keeps playing normally so you never get stuck. If you turn the extension off, it lets go of your camera immediately. You can also tweak things like head angle limits, pause delays, and the theme in the settings.
