Attendance Tracker
Overview
Open the attendance tracker in any meeting, capture the participant list in one click and paste the roll call into Google Sheets.
🕒 Attendance Tracker turns the participant list of a live meeting into a dated record you can keep. One click while the call is running, and every name on screen lands in a table with the date, the join time and the length of stay. The attendance tracker needs no second spreadsheet, no name typed twice, no signup wall. 🚀 Three steps during the call 1. Open the participants panel in your meeting so every name is visible. 2. Press the toolbar button and the attendance tracking app starts on that list. 3. Stop the capture and the roll call is saved, ready to open or download. 📋 What lands in the record ➤ Full name of every participant exactly as it appears in the meeting ➤ Date of the session and the time each person joined ➤ Minutes present, so a late arrival shows without a stopwatch ➤ Session title and your own note, when the report needs context ➤ Total headcount for the call, counted for you ➤ Anyone who left early, marked separately from those who stayed 💼 Who reaches for attendance tracking software 1️⃣ Teachers — a class roster filled during the lesson instead of after it 2️⃣ Team leads — a staff attendance tracker for stand-ups and weekly syncs 3️⃣ Trainers — one record per session, exported when the course ends 4️⃣ Coordinators — a check in sheet for community calls and club meetings ✨ Inside the attendance tracker • A saved student list or class list you reuse, so recurring sessions open prefilled • Live counter of who is present while the meeting is still going • Manual rows for people who dialled in by phone or joined late • Editable names, because a display name is not always the real one • Tracker history kept on your machine, searchable by date and title • A ready template for the columns most reports ask for 🧩 One capture, several kinds of paperwork - A student attendance tracker for a term, one row per lesson - A timesheet built from session lengths when hours have to be reported - A summary next to your meeting minutes, so record and notes match - A sign in sheet replacement for training days held online - An employee attendance tracker for hybrid teams that meet by video - Employee attendance tracking that feeds a leave tracker when repeated absences need spotting 📤 Getting the data out The google meet attendance tracker has two ways out. For the attendance tracker google sheets route, the session is copied as a table and a blank sheet opens: one paste puts the columns in place. The csv export downloads a file you open in whatever the school or company uses. Both follow the same attendance tracker template, so a report from last month lines up with this week. 🌍 Where it fits into the day ▸ At the top of a lesson, while students are still joining ▸ During a long training, capture the room twice to see who stayed ▸ Right before a stand-up ends, when the headcount matters more than names ▸ In a remote team where nobody can clock in at a punch clock or a time clock by the door ▸ At month end, when someone asks you to track employee attendance across every call 💡 Why not keep the tally by hand Typing names into a document during a call means watching the panel, not the people. A row gets skipped, a spelling drifts, and a week later nobody can tell whether a person was late or absent. The attendance tracking system does the copying, and you keep your attention on the meeting itself. 🔒 Privacy 📌 Sessions are stored in local browser storage on your own machine. 📌 Unlike a typical attendance tracking software, nothing is uploaded: no server, no account, no analytics. 📌 Names leave your computer only when you export the file yourself. ❓ Frequently asked questions 📌 Does it work if I join from a phone? 💡 The capture runs in the browser, so open the meeting on a computer to track my attendance records. 📌 Can I edit a name after the call? 💡 Yes, rows stay editable until you export, which helps when someone signs in with a nickname. 📌 What if the same person joins twice? 💡 Repeated entries are merged into one row and the minutes are added together. 📌 Is there a limit on sessions? 💡 No. The attendance tracker keeps your history until you clear it. 📌 Does it replace a school information system? 💡 No, and it does not try to: no grades, no enrolment, one job done properly. 📌 What happens if I uninstall? 💡 Chrome clears local storage with the extension, so export the sessions you need first. 📌 Which meetings are supported? 💡 Google Meet calls, including recurring lessons and daily stand-ups opened in a browser tab. 🏁 Capture your next session Install the attendance tracker app, open the participants panel and let the list write itself while you run the meeting.
