Atlas Job OS is the browser companion for the Atlas job-search agent at https://atlasjob.tech It requires an atlasjob.tech account — the extension does nothing on its own and has no functionality outside that account relationship. WHAT IT DOES When you ask Atlas (in the atlasjob.tech web app) to search for jobs, Atlas drives your own signed-in browser session to visit job boards on your behalf — LinkedIn, Indeed, Reed, Adzuna, CV-Library, Glassdoor, Totaljobs, and Google Jobs — and reads the job listings shown on the page (title, company, location, salary, description, and similar publicly visible listing details). Atlas is built for every kind of job seeker, not just tech roles: nurses, chefs, electricians, teachers, accountants, retail and hospitality workers, and everyone else searching for work. HOW IT WORKS WITH YOUR ATLASJOB.TECH ACCOUNT The extension opens a background connection to the atlasjob.tech web app you are signed into and reads your Atlas session so it can prove to atlasjob.tech's servers that actions are coming from your own logged-in session, not from someone else's browser. It does not read or store your job-board account passwords. Every action the extension takes — opening a tab, scrolling a job board, capturing a listing, grouping tabs, or taking a screenshot of a page for accuracy checks — happens because you asked Atlas to search or because a search you started is still in progress. The extension does not run in the background searching jobs you never asked for, and it does not act on tabs unrelated to a search you started. WHILE ATLAS IS WORKING Whenever the extension is driving one of your tabs, it displays a visible on-page indicator reading "Atlas Job OS is browsing this page for you", so it is always clear when automation is active and which tab it is acting on. WHAT DATA LEAVES YOUR BROWSER Job listing content read from the pages you visit during a search (titles, companies, locations, salaries, descriptions) is sent to Atlas's own servers at atlasjob.tech so Atlas can score the listings against your CV and add them to your pipeline. The extension also reads your sign-in session cookie for atlasjob.tech (never for any other site) so it can authenticate requests to Atlas's own backend. No data is sent to any third party, ad network, or analytics vendor from inside the extension. The extension talks only to atlasjob.tech's own infrastructure over HTTPS/WSS — never to any third-party server. ACCOUNT REQUIRED You must have an active atlasjob.tech account, be signed in on atlasjob.tech, and have the extension paired with that session. Job board scraping only starts when you explicitly ask Atlas to search from the web app; the extension is inert until then. Create an account or sign in at: https://atlasjob.tech PERMISSIONS IN PLAIN LANGUAGE - Opening and closing tabs, switching between them, and grouping the tabs Atlas is using into a labeled tab group so it's visually obvious which tabs Atlas is driving. - Reading the content of job listing pages you visit during a search, using standard content-script and script-injection APIs. - Taking full-page screenshots of job listing pages (via Chrome's debugging protocol) so Atlas can verify it captured the right listing when the page layout is unusual. - Reading your atlasjob.tech sign-in cookie to authenticate requests to Atlas's own backend. - Storing small amounts of local configuration (your server URL, connection token, and cached selector rules) in the browser's local extension storage — never synced to Google's servers, never leaves your machine except as noted above.
