Assisto is a focused AI writing assistant that lives in your browser's side panel and on the page you are working on. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Chat in the side panel to draft emails, posts, replies, and documents. • Select text on any page and improve it, fix grammar, shorten, expand, summarize, explain it simply, or change its tone. • Translate selected text into the languages you choose (including right-to-left languages such as Persian). • Write with AI in any text field (Alt+Shift+W), review the result, then copy it or insert it into the field. • Use the optional selection toolbar for one-click actions next to the text you select, or the right-click menu. • Save your own reusable prompts and custom instructions. • Keep searchable local conversation history, and see your requests, tokens, and estimated cost on the Usage page. • Light and dark themes. CHOOSE YOUR PROVIDER • Assisto (hosted): works without an API key. Requests go through the Assisto server, which forwards them to AvalAI, OpenRouter, or OpenAI and never stores the text of your messages or answers. Daily usage limits apply. • Or bring your own API key for OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, or AvalAI. Requests then go directly from your browser to that provider; your provider's terms and fees apply. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Nothing is sent until you press Send (or Load models). • No access to every website: Assisto works on a page only after you click its toolbar button, use its shortcut, or choose it from the right-click menu, and only with text you select or type. • Each provider's website access is optional and requested only after you read a short disclosure and agree. • No ads, no analytics, no tracking, no browsing-history collection. • API keys, conversations, prompts, settings, and usage records stay in your browser's local storage. You can export or delete everything at any time; exports never include API keys. Always review AI-generated text before you use it.
