ASO Score is a free ASO checker for the App Store and Google Play. Open any app listing and a score out of 100 appears in the corner of the page. Click it to see the five sub-scores and the top 3 fixes in plain words. Use it on your own app, or on any competitor's listing to see what they do that you do not. WHAT IT CHECKS The same rubric as the ASO Score tool on apsteq.com. Each part is scored 0 to 100 and weighted into the total. • Title and subtitle (25): title length against the 30-character limit, a keyword beyond the brand name, subtitle (Apple, 30 characters) or short description (Google Play, 80 characters) length • Description (25): your title keyword in the first 170 characters, a short opening sentence, length, sections or bullets, a call to action • Ratings (20): average rating against 4.5, and rating volume • Visuals (20): screenshots against the 10 slots on Apple and 8 on Google Play, and whether there is a preview video • Freshness (10): days since the last update, plus language count on Apple WHAT IT CANNOT SEE We keep the score honest about its limits: • Apple's 100-character keyword field is private to App Store Connect, so it is never scored. • Neither store publishes conversion rate, impressions or keyword rankings. • Google Play screenshot counts are approximate, because phone, tablet and Chromebook screenshots share one page. • Google Play does not show languages, so freshness there is update recency only.
