Ask AI anything about any YouTube video, without copy-pasting transcripts. askYoutube adds an Ask button below the YouTube player. Click it, type your question, and choose ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, or Gemini. askYoutube reads the video's available transcript and sends it with your question to the AI provider you select, so the answer is grounded in what the video actually says. What you can do: - Summarize long videos - Pull out key points, steps, and takeaways - Explain confusing concepts in plain language - Ask follow-up questions about specific moments - Search and reason through talks, tutorials, lectures, and reviews How it works: 1. Open a YouTube video 2. Click the Ask button 3. Type your question 4. Choose ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, or Gemini Selecting a provider, or pressing Enter for ChatGPT, confirms that you want to send your question, the current video's transcript, and its URL to that provider. askYoutube opens the provider, inserts the generated prompt, and submits it.
