AskAI puts a configurable multi-model AI workspace directly in your Chrome toolbar. Ask questions, draft content, explain difficult ideas, analyze selected page text, work with code and organize separate conversations without leaving the page you are using. CHOOSE YOUR AI MODEL Switch between available ChatGPT, Claude and DeepSeek models from one convenient interface. Free models are clearly identified, while models requiring an AskAI Pro plan are marked before use. START WITH A USEFUL PROMPT Browse 19 editable prompt templates for writing, research, coding, business, learning, productivity and creative work. Search the library, select a template and customize it before anything is sent. ASK ABOUT THE CURRENT PAGE Use the Context button or Chrome’s right-click menu to attach selected text or readable text from the active page. AskAI clearly shows when context is attached and lets you remove it before sending. Page access is controlled by you. AskAI does not continuously monitor tabs or create a background history of the pages you visit. CONTROL HOW ANSWERS ARE WRITTEN Choose concise, balanced, detailed or creative responses. Select a professional, friendly, direct, academic or playful tone. You can also choose a response language and add reusable custom instructions. KEEP CONVERSATIONS ORGANIZED Create multiple chats, search your local conversation history, copy or regenerate answers, delete individual messages and use different models for different conversations. You can export an individual conversation as Markdown or create a JSON backup containing your local chats and settings. PERSONALIZE YOUR WORKSPACE Available options include: • Light, dark or system theme • Five accent colors • Three text sizes • Compact or comfortable message spacing • Enter-to-send behavior • Live response streaming • Optional automatic page context • Configurable local chat-history limits PRIVACY AND USER CONTROL Conversations and preferences are stored locally in Chrome when local history is enabled. Messages and page context that you deliberately attach are transmitted securely to AskAI.free only after you submit a request. You can disable saved history, remove attached context, delete individual conversations, clear all history or delete all locally stored extension data at any time. The extension does not display ads, read passwords, access cookies directly, monitor background tabs or execute remotely hosted code. All executable extension code is included in the installed package. Free usage is subject to service limits. Some models and higher usage limits require an optional AskAI Pro plan.
