Overview

Save Claude chats to your PC. Capture mode lets you save an incognito chat even after you closed it. Needs the Claude_ASA app.

This extension is the browser half of AI Session Archiver (Claude_ASA), a Windows app that saves your Claude conversations to your own PC in one click. The desktop app must be installed. HOW IT WORKS A small save button appears on the chat page at claude.ai, and the toolbar icon offers Save and Preferences as well. Press Save and the extension reads the conversation as it stands, then hands it to the Claude_ASA app running on the same PC - the exchange never leaves your machine. Conversation content is never sent to an external server. REQUIREMENTS - The Claude_ASA desktop app must be installed on your PC - The app starts on demand, so you do not have to launch it first - The app waits for save requests on your own machine (127.0.0.1) - Product information for the desktop app: https://jellycotton.github.io/AI-Session-Archiver/ WHAT ASA DOES WITH YOUR CONVERSATIONS - Saves the conversation on screen from one button on the chat page - Four formats - HTML, plain text, Markdown, PDF - written together if you want, each to its own folder - Keeps the images in the conversation (HTML and PDF) - Pick which parts make up the file name, and tag files as you save (register up to 50 tags) - Works with incognito chats, shared pages and the code (</>) view - Capture mode plus auto-recovery guards your chat log against an accidental loss - Everything stays on your own PC PRIVACY This extension reads conversation content on claude.ai only when you click Save (on the in-page widget or in the toolbar-icon popup), and relays the captured snapshot to the Claude_ASA desktop app via localhost (127.0.0.1). The extension may also send a launch request to the desktop app through Chrome's Native Messaging Host; this request carries no conversation data. No information is transmitted to any external server. All communication stays between this extension and the Claude_ASA desktop app running on your own PC.
