Artificer Dark
Overview
Artificer — a Jazz Age palette for tool surfaces: burnished gold on slate in the dark, sienna on ivory paper in the light.
Artificer is a Jazz Age palette for tool surfaces: burnished gold on slate, with a bone-white foreground and a single warm accent for the active tab. Nothing glows, nothing is neon. The frame, toolbar, tabs, and new-tab page all draw from one contrast-checked palette, so text stays readable and the active tab reads at a glance. This is the dark mode. A matching Artificer Light listing (sienna on ivory paper) is published separately, because Chrome themes carry one mode each. The same palette drives the Artificer design system's editor and terminal themes (VS Code, JetBrains, Ghostty, and more), so a browser dressed in Artificer matches the rest of a workbench that already uses it. Every colour pair is verified against WCAG contrast floors before it ships.
