This extension overwrites the default "new tab" page with a simple page that displays a masterpiece ranging from Van Gogh and Monet, all the way to contemporary works from street artists around the world. Note: this extension uses the Google Arts & Culture database for displaying these artworks. Each artwork has a clickable title and creator links. Note: To increasing loading speed, the extension stores up to 2 artworks in the browser storage. All new artworks are being fetched from the Google Arts & Culture website. Note: each artwork is displayed for 24 hours and then will be replaced with a new one. If you happen not to like one, use the refresh button to get a new random artwork from the Google Arts & Culture database. Legal: this extension only fetches the resources from Google Arts & Culture. This is an independent project and has no relation with Google or Google Arts & Culture team.
