Open 7z, ZIP, RAR and many other archive formats directly in Chrome. Archiver is a private, on-device archive manager with no uploads, accounts or tracking. Your files stay on your computer. The bundled 7-Zip WebAssembly engine reads and extracts archives locally inside the extension, even when you are offline. It does not read browsing history, cookies, open tabs or page content. Selected archives and passwords are processed temporarily in local memory and are never sent to a server. HOW IT WORKS 1. Click the Archiver toolbar icon. 2. Drop an archive into the app or choose it from your device. 3. Browse, preview or select the files you need. 4. Extract them, or create a new archive from your own files. Archiver is useful for opening downloaded archives, inspecting email attachments, extracting RAR or 7z files, creating ZIP backups and working with compressed files without installing a desktop application. Note: Chrome extensions cannot install Android APK or OBB files. Archiver can browse and extract them when they are stored inside a supported archive.
