Overview

Fast, private, local-first screen recorder. Record your tab, window, or full screen with camera and audio. No forced cloud upload.

ArcCapture is a free, privacy first screen recorder for Chrome. Record your tab, a window, or your full screen with your camera, microphone, and system audio, then download an MP4 in a click. Your recordings are captured and stored locally on your device. There is no forced cloud upload, and you do not need an account to record. WHY ARCCAPTURE Most screen recorders ask you to create an account, then upload your recordings to their servers and hand you a file format that some apps will not open. ArcCapture takes the opposite approach. It records on your device, keeps your files local, and gives you an MP4 that plays everywhere. WHAT YOU CAN DO - Record a single browser tab, a specific window, or your entire screen - Add your webcam, your microphone, and system or tab audio, and toggle each on or off - Use a floating controller while you record to pause, resume, mute your mic, watch the timer, or collapse it out of the way - Set a countdown before recording starts: off, 3, 5, or 10 seconds - Record at a crisp 720p on the free plan - Manage everything in a local recording library with playback, rename, and delete - Download MP4 by default, and keep the original WebM one click away under Advanced - Copy recording metadata to your clipboard PRIVATE BY DESIGN - ArcCapture stores your recordings in your browser on your device using local storage. - Nothing is uploaded automatically. You do not need an account to record. The only time - ArcCapture uses the network is if you choose to upgrade to Pro, which is handled by our payment provider. There is no watermark on the free plan. FREE AND PRO - The free plan includes 15 recordings per month at 720p, MP4 download, the original WebM, and your local library. - Pro removes the monthly cap and adds Full HD 1080p and QHD 1440p, unlimited recordings, and professional format exports, including MOV, plus HEVC and AV1 where your device can encode them. Pro is 12 USD per month or 96 USD per year. GREAT FOR Creators, support teams, teachers, product managers, and engineers who need quick, private screen recordings without a cloud account. Perfect for demos, tutorials, bug reports, feedback, onboarding, and client walkthroughs. WORKS WHERE YOU WORK ArcCapture runs in Google Chrome 116 and newer, and in Chromium based browsers such as Microsoft Edge, Brave, Arc, and Opera.
