)Overview
A scholar-focused reading tool by The Arcaneum for distraction-free article reading
Reading, restored. You open an article to learn something. Twenty minutes later, you're somewhere else entirely, and the one sentence you wanted to keep is buried in a tab you've lost. Arcaneum Focus is a quiet place to read. One click turns an article or PDF into a calm reading space in warm paper tones, with nothing around it competing for your attention. Highlight what matters. Leave a note where the thought struck you. Draw a line between two ideas that belong together, or pick up the pen and write directly on the page. When you need the source, Focus creates the citation for you. It's made for students, researchers, educators, and anyone who reads to understand, not to scroll. It's free. There's no account, and nothing is sent to us. Your notes and highlights live on your device and nowhere else. Your reading is yours. • Why does Arcaneum Focus ask for access to all sites? Reader mode needs to work on whichever page you choose to read. The extension does not collect or transmit content from those pages. • Free for private, non-commercial use, including study, teaching, and research. Using Focus for work or across an organisation? Commercial and institutional licences are available at licensing@thearcaneum.org.
