Arc — Browser Bridge connects supported AI conversations in your browser to the Arc macOS app. Arc is a local control surface for AI coding agents. Browser Bridge gives Arc the browser-session context it needs to identify, focus, reopen, and work with the exact ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini conversation you are using. Local-first by design The extension communicates with the Arc app on your Mac using Chrome Native Messaging. Arc MCP remains the authority for local workspace access, permissions, files, Git operations, commands, and other machine actions. Browser Bridge does not independently grant access to your files or computer. For supported AI pages, the extension may process limited browser-session information needed for its functionality, including the current provider conversation URL or identifier, visible tab title, active/focused state, and coarse response-generation state. When Browser-mode Agent Bus automation is enabled, Browser Bridge may also inspect the supported provider’s message composer to avoid overwriting an existing draft and to verify Arc’s own prepared wake notification before an optional send. This browser-session information is passed locally to the Arc app through Chrome Native Messaging. Browser Bridge does not contain advertising or analytics code and does not send your AI conversation contents to Orqara’s hosted services. Arc for macOS is required Browser Bridge is a companion extension and requires Arc to be installed on your Mac. Without Arc, the extension has no useful standalone functionality.
