Arabic Reader — Tashkeel, Harakat & Diacritics for Web Pages and PDFs Arabic is written without its vowels, so every unfamiliar word is a guess. Arabic Reader puts the tashkeel back: it adds harakat — the Arabic diacritics — to Arabic text on any web page and inside PDFs, in place, without changing a single letter of the original. Hover a word to see its vocalized form, its meaning, its root and its CEFR level. Click to hear it in your system's Arabic voice. Save the words that are new to you and review them with spaced repetition. Those display normally but cannot be annotated, and the reader tells you when it sees one. • Persian, Urdu and Kurdish pages are skipped on purpose — only Arabic is annotated.
