Overview

A web-slinging hero swings onto the page you're on and won't leave until you drink your water.

Deep in a debugging session, two hours vanish and you haven't had a sip. Aqua Spider fixes that. At the interval you choose, Aqua Spider drops in at the corner of the page you're on (switch on "Show on the page I'm on" in the popup; otherwise he comes in his own small window), throws a web line and swings to the centre, spins a web across the screen, then says hi. He sips from his water bottle while he waits. A small card next to him asks you to drink, with two buttons: Snooze or I drank. • Click "I drank" and he takes a long swig from his bottle with you, then fires a new web and swings across the screen and away. He'll be back at your next reminder. • Snooze and he's not happy about it: an angry glare, and his bottle ends up splashed on the floor. He's back when the snooze is up. • Ignore him and he checks back every 2 minutes, following you to whichever tab you switch to. He knows when you're busy. Connect your meetings any way your company allows: read your open Google Calendar tab, import a calendar file, paste a private iCal link, or add a meeting by hand. He pauses during meetings and reminds you 5 or 10 minutes before each one starts, so you walk in hydrated. Open Google Meet, Zoom or Teams calls in Chrome pause him too, and "In a meeting?" on the card sends him away for 30 minutes to 2 hours. He draws over the page without blocking it: only the card takes clicks, so you can keep scrolling and reading. Features • Remind every 5 to 180 minutes • Adjustable snooze time • Daily drink goal with a running count. Hit it and the hero celebrates with confetti, and reminders stop until tomorrow • Pauses during meetings: Google Calendar tab, calendar file, calendar link, meetings you add, or an open Meet / Zoom / Teams call • "In a meeting?" button on the reminder: away for 30 min, 1 hour or 2 hours • Reminds you before meetings start, 0 to 30 minutes ahead • Work hours: only reminds between the hours you set, optionally on weekdays only • Eight original characters, each with its own entrance: Aqua Spider swings in on a web, Sky Guardian flies, Night Knight rappels down, Little Rascal walks in along the bottom of the screen with crayon doodles and dances his way out, Desi Shakti Hero spins in on golden chakras, Emerald Sovereign appears in a flash of green sorcery, The Ex-Hitman walks in through the rain and shoots soda cans out of the air, and Storm Viking falls from the sky and calls lightning to his hammer. Or get a random one each time • Greets you by the name you set • Light and dark themes that follow your system • Respects your system's "reduce motion" setting Privacy No account and no analytics. Your settings, name and drink count stay in your browser. Whichever meeting source you use, only meeting start and end times are kept, never titles or attendees. Apart from Google Calendar pages when you switch that option on, the extension never reads the pages it draws on. Why it asks for these permissions • No website access is requested at install. Each feature asks only when you switch it on: • Meet, Zoom, Teams and Slack, if you switch on "Pause during calls": only to notice an open call tab. Pages are never read. • Google Calendar, if you switch on "Read my Google Calendar tab": only meeting start and end times are kept, and nothing is sent anywhere. • "All websites" is also optional: It's optional: Chrome asks only if you switch on "Show on the page I'm on", so the hero can land on whatever page you have open. He only adds his drawing; he never reads, saves or sends anything from those pages. • Everything else (alarms, storage, display size) is for timing reminders, saving your settings on your device and centring the pop-out window. All characters are original and are not affiliated with or endorsed by any comic publisher or studio. Note: Chrome must be running (it can be in the background) for reminders to appear.
