Overview

Enforces AppBlocker's website blocking. Managed by the AppBlocker app.

AppBlocker Web Filter is the companion browser extension for the AppBlocker app. It enforces the website rules you set in AppBlocker directly inside your browser, so blocking stays reliable even when your browser uses encrypted DNS. What it does: • Blocks the websites on your AppBlocker block lists. • Enforces allow-list mode, where only approved sites can open. • Shows a clear "blocked" page instead of the site. • Keeps working from your last settings even if the AppBlocker app is closed. How it works: the extension reads your settings from the AppBlocker app running on your own computer, over a local connection (127.0.0.1), and applies them. It does not collect, store, or send your browsing history anywhere. Why install it: modern browsers increasingly use encrypted DNS, which lets sites slip past system-level blockers. This extension blocks at the page level inside the browser, so your AppBlocker rules actually hold
