Apogee — a Liquid Network wallet for your browser.

Apogee is a self-custodial wallet for the Liquid Network — the Bitcoin sidechain built for fast, low-fee, confidential transactions in LBTC and other Liquid assets. Your keys, your coins. Apogee generates and stores your keys locally, encrypted on your device. They are never uploaded, and Resolvr never has access to them. No accounts, no sign-up, no tracking. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Create a new wallet, or restore one from a standard BIP-39 recovery phrase. • Import a watch-only wallet from a Liquid descriptor: track balances and receive without keys on this device. Restore the matching seed later and it upgrades to a full wallet in place. • Hold, receive, and send LBTC and other Liquid assets — like USDt — with an asset picker, registry names and icons, correct decimal precision, and an approximate fiat value for USD-pegged tokens. • Keep amounts private with Liquid's confidential transactions. • Pair a Blockstream Jade hardware wallet and approve transactions on the device. • Connect to Liquid web apps and authorize their transactions — you review and sign every action. SELF-CUSTODY, DONE RIGHT Apogee uses standard BIP84 native SegWit derivation, so the same recovery phrase restores in Blockstream Green, Blockstream Jade, and other standard Liquid wallets — you are never locked in. Your seed is encrypted at rest, the wallet auto-locks after inactivity, and a revealed recovery phrase hides itself again after 30 seconds. PRIVATE BY DESIGN To sync your balance, Apogee uses a Waterfalls scan server by default and encrypts your wallet descriptor to it first, so your individual addresses aren't handed to the server. It talks only to public Liquid infrastructure — Waterfalls (liquidwebwallet.org) and public Esplora servers (liquid.network, blockstream.info) — plus public price APIs to show a fiat value. No analytics, no cookies, no ads. BUILT TO STAY UP If a chain server is down or rate-limited, Apogee detects it in seconds and fails over to another provider, for syncing and for broadcasting alike. Wallet scan state is kept locally, so reopening the extension picks up where it left off instead of re-scanning from scratch. Prefer a specific provider? Pin it in Settings > Advanced; the choice is verified against the chain itself before it saves. CONNECT TO LIQUID APPS Apogee provides a wallet connection to web pages, so Liquid apps can request to connect and ask you to approve transactions. Every connection and every transaction requires your explicit approval in Apogee, and you can review or revoke connected sites at any time in Settings. HARDWARE WALLET SUPPORT Pair a Blockstream Jade to keep your keys on a dedicated device. Apogee builds the transaction, you review and approve it on the Jade, and Apogee broadcasts it. GETTING STARTED 1. Install Apogee and open it from the browser side panel. 2. Create a new wallet or restore a recovery phrase, and set a password. 3. Receive LBTC to your address, or connect a Liquid app. Apogee never asks for your recovery phrase outside of setup. Keep your phrase and password safe — because Apogee is self-custodial, no one can recover them for you if they are lost. Apogee is a self-custodial wallet, not a custodian, exchange, or financial service. WHAT'S NEW IN 0.9.0 • A first-run sky that moves as one scene. During the opening moon animation the starfield now descends with the moon instead of sitting fixed behind it. Nearby stars move with visible parallax while stars near the horizon stay steadier, and the first meteor crosses the sky just as the Apogee logo appears. • A safer path from source to Chrome. Releases are now built reproducibly from an exact reviewed commit, require a separate production approval, and create an immutable GitHub release before those same verified bytes are sent to the Chrome Web Store. Short-lived credentials, one release at a time, and state-aware retries reduce the chance that a failed run can upload or submit the wrong package twice. WHAT'S NEW IN 0.8.0 • The balance behaves like an instrument — the numerals strike when a figure changes, the balance folds away as your history scrolls, and an Animations switch turns the motion off. • A seed QR a Jade can read — the export now carries a brightness control, so moving a wallet onto a Jade no longer depends on your screen. • Export your wallet's descriptor and public data — the account key, the watch-only descriptor that recreates the wallet elsewhere, the master blinding key, and a public descriptor with that key removed. Grouped by what each one discloses, because one group reveals which addresses are yours and the other reveals every amount you hold. Nothing exported can sign or spend, and your seed phrase is never included. Works for seed, Jade and watch-only wallets. • Connect a hardware wallet is a button again, and the L-BTC row in Assets now names the unit its number is in. • Your transaction history as a CSV — every transaction with its date, txid, amounts, assets and fee, one row per asset moved so a swap reads as the two sides it actually is. Amounts in both base units and scaled, so a spreadsheet adds them up without losing precision. • Groundwork for richer app transactions — when a connected Liquid app requests a multi-step transaction, Apogee resolves the chain state itself, builds and dry-runs it, and shows the exact effects before you approve. Testnet only in this release, while the format is still settling. • Fixes — a consolidation in flight survives leaving the Coins screen, an implausible fee estimate is refused rather than paid, and a completed contract execution keeps only its txid instead of a week of readable detail. WHAT'S NEW IN 0.7.0 • The balance is your whole portfolio, not just LBTC. A wallet holding USDt used to read "0 sats" at the top while the token list below showed a real balance; the headline figure now folds in every USD-pegged token at the spot rate and calls itself a total. An asset with no price source is left out rather than counted as zero, and the line beneath says how many were left out — so the total never quietly understates what you hold. • Coins: a new screen (Settings > Coins) showing every unspent output grouped by asset, with one action to combine an asset's outputs into a single one when they've fragmented across many small pieces. • Liquid apps can do more, and each capability is its own permission. Beyond connecting and asking for a send, an app can request your unspent outputs, a public wallet descriptor, or a signature on a transaction it built — you grant or refuse each separately, and signing requests show the exact inputs, recipients, asset changes, and fees for their own approval. Apogee returns the signed transaction and broadcasts only if the app asked and you approved. • Approvals tell you more before you sign: the recipient's full address instead of a shortened one, the requesting site's domain kept visible however long the address, and asset names taken from the public registry marked as unverified — the asset ID is what identifies an asset. • Security hardening throughout. Seed phrases no longer travel the extension's internal broadcast channel when you restore a wallet or scan a recovery QR. Encrypted storage upgrades its own format the first time you unlock after an update, with no re-import. Changing your password is rate-limited the same way unlocking is. Less of the wallet stays decrypted while unlocked — a seed is decrypted only for the moment it signs. • A one-time intro animation on first run, and transactions now open in liquid.network. WHAT'S NEW IN 0.6.0 • Swap LBTC and USDt without leaving the wallet — get a quote from the SideSwap dealer and settle it as a single atomic Liquid transaction, so both sides move at once and your funds are never held by anyone. Swap in either direction, naming either the amount you want to spend or the amount you want to receive. • Every swap is verified before it's signed — Apogee checks the dealer's proposed transaction against the quote you approved before signing it, and states the fees and guaranteed minimum you'll receive up front. • Bitcoin price chart under the balance, covering 24 hours through all time, with hover to read the price at a point in time. • Import a wallet by scanning its seed-phrase QR — the counterpart to the QR Apogee already exports. • Faster, steadier fiat prices with a fourth price source. WHAT'S NEW IN 0.5.0 • Send any Liquid asset — USDt and other issued assets are now first-class in Send, with an asset picker, correct decimal precision, and a Max option; the network fee is always paid in LBTC. • Fiat values for USD-pegged tokens — an approximate fiat value now appears beneath a USDt balance. • Token icons in the Send asset picker, matching the balance list. • Chain-server health badge in Settings > Advanced — see at a glance whether your Liquid chain server is reachable.
