Overview
API Inspector tracks API schema changes in real-time inside DevTools.
It analyzes JSON responses from network requests and highlights added, removed, or type-changed fields β helping developers catch breaking changes early during development. π What It Does β Automatically extracts JSON response schemas β Detects added, removed, and type-changed fields β Classifies changes as breaking, minor, or unchanged β Displays side-by-side schema comparisons β Requires manual approval before updating stored schema β Supports per-domain filtering βοΈ How It Works 1. Open DevTools 2. Reload the page 3. Open the API Inspector tab 4. Review detected schema changes 5. Approve updates intentionally Only HTTP 200 JSON responses are tracked.
