Overview

Check the open page for AI citation readiness and crawler access. Results stay on this device.

GEO Auditor checks the page you have open for on-page citation readiness and AI crawler access. It gives you a local checklist of content structure, evidence, entity clarity, and crawler directives. Open the side panel beside an article or landing page, run the audit, and review the score and suggested fixes. GEO Auditor reads the selected page and may request that same site’s robots.txt and llms.txt. It stores results locally in this Chrome profile; it does not upload them. HOW TO USE 1. Open an HTTP or HTTPS article or landing page. 2. Click the GEO Auditor icon to open the side panel. 3. Run the audit and review the score, checks, crawler-access notes, and suggested fixes. 4. Copy the findings or export a printable HTML report. 5. Edit the page and run another audit. Compare it with a previous saved audit when the formula matches. WHAT IT CHECKS • Answer-first openings and question headings • Evidence, entity clarity, and extractable page structure • Indexability, page title, and meta description • robots.txt and llms.txt availability • robots.txt rules for Googlebot, Bingbot, OAI-SearchBot, and PerplexityBot • Training crawlers are shown separately and do not affect the score HOW TO READ RESULTS The score describes on-page citation readiness; it is not a prediction that an AI answer will cite the page. You’ll see a plain-language label, evidence, and up to three prioritized fixes. Statuses include Strong, Gap, Couldn’t check, and Informational. Crawler-access checks read the site’s robots.txt rules only. GEO Auditor does not check firewalls, server logs, or sitemaps. A missing robots.txt is treated as allowed; a file it cannot read is left out of the score. llms.txt is informational and does not affect the score (Google Search ignores llms.txt). PRIVATE, LOCAL AUDITS The last 20 audits are saved in this Chrome profile. Each stores the score, checks, short evidence excerpts, and page address—not the full page. Delete saved audits removes them. Exports do not contain the full page, and nothing is uploaded to a developer-operated server. Version 1.0.0.
