ApexLens
Overview
ApexLens — AI-assisted Salesforce Apex debug log analysis.
ApexLens transforms raw Salesforce Apex Debug Logs into an interactive debugging experience, making it easier to understand, navigate, and troubleshoot complex transactions. Instead of scrolling through thousands of lines of plain text, ApexLens organizes your logs into visual, searchable views that help you quickly identify performance issues, governor limits, and execution flow. 🆕 What's New in 1.1.3 • The Debug Logs list now tells you when a new log has landed — Salesforce's own list never refreshes itself, so ApexLens polls quietly in the background and shows a "N new logs" banner when one isn't on the page yet. • Added a one-click manual refresh button for the Debug Logs list, so you're never stuck waiting on the auto-check. • Fixed the "new logs" banner sometimes duplicating or getting stuck on screen. Key Features 🌳 Execution Tree • Explore a collapsible call hierarchy. • Filter by event type. • Jump directly to the corresponding raw log line. 📊 Execution Timeline • Interactive flame chart showing where execution time is spent. • Smooth pan and zoom. • Built-in minimap for navigating large transactions. ⚡ Governor Limits Dashboard • Monitor CPU time, SOQL, DML, heap usage, and other governor limits. • Instantly identify resource bottlenecks and limit consumption. 🔍 SOQL, DML & Flow Analysis • View every SOQL query, DML operation, and Flow event in sortable, filterable tables. • Quickly locate expensive queries and operations. 📄 Log Explorer • Browse the original debug log with syntax highlighting. • Search instantly within the log. • Switch seamlessly between visual analysis and raw log output. 🏷️ Debug Logs List Enhancement • Adds Type / Class / Method columns directly to Salesforce's own Debug Logs list, so you can see which Apex class, trigger, or flow produced each log without opening it. • Notifies you when new logs land, and lets you refresh the list without leaving the page. • Reads only the first few KB of each log to resolve this — never downloads full log bodies. • Results are cached locally (most recent 500) so revisiting the list costs no extra network calls. Nothing is cached while browsing in an Incognito window. • Fully optional — turn it off, or switch to click-to-resolve, from the new Settings page. 🤖 Optional AI-Assisted Analysis Bring your own API key and choose your preferred AI provider. When you request analysis, ApexLens can: • Summarize the transaction. • Highlight performance bottlenecks. • Explain governor limit usage. • Identify potential root causes. • Suggest debugging directions based only on the information present in the log. AI analysis is completely optional and is only performed after you explicitly request it. Privacy First • Debug logs are parsed locally in your browser. • Nothing is uploaded by default. • The Debug Logs list feature caches only a log's resolved class/trigger/flow name and its ID — never the log body — capped at 500 entries, and never written for Incognito sessions. • The new-logs check polls only for log IDs (never a log body), off automatically on a metered or slow connection, and can be turned off in Settings. • When AI analysis is enabled, log data is sent directly from your browser to the AI provider you configure. • ApexLens does not run any servers, collect analytics, or track users. How to Use Open Salesforce Setup → Debug Logs. Click the "Analyze" button next to any Apex Debug Log. Explore the interactive analysis in a new tab.
