Mic Helper: Learning & Meeting Assistant transcribes speech from your active browser tab and selected microphone, then provides concise responses based on the conversation and any optional notes or reference material you provide. You control when audio capture starts. Before each session, the extension explains what audio and text it processes and asks for your consent. You can stop capture from the side panel at any time. Speech segments are sent to OpenAI for transcription. Transcribed speech, recent conversation turns, and relevant excerpts from context you provide are sent to OpenAI to prepare responses. If you enable spoken responses, response text is sent to OpenAI for speech generation. Your OpenAI API key, settings, and optional context are stored in your Chrome profile and sent only to OpenAI when needed to provide these features. The extension publisher does not receive this information. An OpenAI API key is required. OpenAI API usage may incur charges under your OpenAI account. Review the linked privacy policy before use.
