APD - Download Manager brings your browser downloads into the APD desktop app, so large files download faster and can be paused, resumed and recovered. REQUIRES THE APD DESKTOP APP This extension is a companion to APD Downloader for Windows. It does nothing on its own. WHAT IT DOES • Captures downloads — click a download link and APD takes over instead of the browser, splitting the file across multiple connections. • Finds video on the page — detects HLS and DASH media streams so you can save video you're watching, not just direct file links. Shows the available resolutions and lets you pick one. • Keeps your session — passes cookies and the referring page along, so downloads from sites you're signed in to don't fail. • You choose what it takes — pick which file types APD handles. Anything else is left to the browser. Hold Alt to force a download through APD, or Shift to let the browser keep it. • Progress at a glance — the toolbar icon shows download progress while APD is working. PRIVACY Everything stays on your computer. The extension talks only to the APD app running locally. No download history, browsing data or personal information is sent anywhere, and there are no analytics or third-party servers.
